  3. betaBase is a FileMaker Pro beta database that holds records for beta testing notes.  It includes a format for beta testing notes, machine type notes, and a bug report list.  betaBase is easy to use and efficient, even in a network environment.

  5. To start a new bug number with betaBase:

  7. 1.  Select Define Fields from the Select menu.
  8. 2.  Highlight the Bug Records field and click on Options
  9. 3.  Change the number BUG0001 to the next desired number
  10. 4.  Close
  11.  
  12. The next record created will contain this serial and count up from there.
  13.  
  14. Once the machine information is entered, the same machine can be used for different bugs.  If this is desired, simply click on the New Record/Same machine button in the Machine Info window.
